Service work
Our service work that we plan with our customers, will consist of a programme of work put together of all the equipment on a customer’s site, where you as the client have indicated the items of plant is to be included, in our service schedule.
We will collect information of all the makes and models of the equipment, so that the manufactures information can be brought together to ensure that all of the service work can be carried out in line with the manufactures instructions and the industry standards.
We will carry out the service work to your service intervals or suggest intervals of service of, 1 monthly, 3 monthly, 6 monthly or on an annual basis, this may be dependent on the frequency of use, of the equipment and manufactures recommendations.
We can provide planned preventive maintenance, with a schedule of equipment to be tested on a regular basis.
As a company our engineers can service a wide range of equipment within your commercial premises, to keep the plant in a serviceable condition and reduce costly breakdown’s where possible. The list below is an example of some of the equipment our engineer will come across in there day to day work.
• Gas and oil fired heating and hot water boilers.
• Ventilation plant with supply and extract fans, and air filtration and heating controls.
• Hot water systems, with stored hot and cold water and thermostatic mixing valves.
• Gas and oil fired warm air heaters and ducted warm air from ventilation systems.
• Ancillary equipment in plant rooms, pumps, expansion vessels, pressurisation units and motorised valves with actuators and fan assisted flue system.
During the planned service work, at our client’s premises we will advise on the condition of the equipment, and if it is in a safe condition and where a continued use, would raise a concern for safety.
We will advise of any repair work that is required to bring the plant back in to full operational service and provide costings for this work in addition to the service work, and where required an estimate of how long the work will take.
All our service work will be reported back to our customer’s with our paper work system and a signed copy left with your responsible representative on site.
Installation Work
As part of our service to our customer’s, installation work of replacement existing equipment can be carried out by arrangement with ourselves.
Where alteration to the existing are required and this changes the original design of a system we will consult with a commercial designer to ensure that your system will continue to operate correctly.
Small to medium installation work will be carried out by our own engineers and where the replacement of a larger installation is required, we use the services of our team of approved sub- contractors, who will be under our direct control.
Total Heat Systems Ltd, will project manage the works with a programme of works with your approval.
Installation’s we have completed in the past have included a single boiler replacement to a full plant room renewal, which included new boilers with a new flue system, replacement hot water storage vessels, all the associated pipe work and the control systems.
We have access to trend control engineers, electricians, ventilation engineers and pipefitters with full welding certificates who can also carry out work on large gas pipe work installations, with full purging and tightness testing of gas systems.
Repair Work
We will carry out any repair work that is requested by our customer’s, following service work or following a call out to a breakdown.
Our engineer’s will advise you of what will be required and if parts need to be ordered, to carry out the repairs. If you require a full written quotation our office will be happy to provide this for you and email this directly to yourself.
When repairs are carried out on site to your equipment, our engineers will fully test the equipment and make sure it is back to full working order and to your satisfaction.
All our repair work will be reported back to you with our paper work system and a signed copy left with your responsible representative on site.
Maintenance and Service
Our 24 hour call out and breakdown service is provided to our customer’s as part of a signed agreement of a service contract, we will respond to all call outs within four hours where possible, but keep site informed of our arrival if a delay is expected.
All our customers will be provided with our 24 hour number to be used in an emergency situation, for call outs, out of normal working hours where you need to restore normal service to your commercial buildings.
During a call out our engineers aim, will be to try and restore heat and or hot water to the site with a suitable repair, we will however need to consider the safety of a situation and take appropriate action to make equipment safe, where required until a permanent repair is carried out with your permission and when parts become available.
